Since 1983, The Community Foundation of Northern Virginia has presented its Community Leadership Award annually for outstanding community service and dedication to improving the quality of life for all Northern Virginians.
This year’s recipient is none other than Karen Schaufeld, co-founder of All Ages Read Together.
Karen has worked her entire life creating innovative solutions to address the inequality that exists for many in our community. She is an author, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and lawyer.
We are so excited that she will be recognized at the 2021 Raise the Region Event on Friday, October 8th.
The event is virtual and free to attend! There will be a silent auction to support CFNOVA if you are interested in supporting the community work they do in our region.
